Located on the outskirts of Perth, Trandos Farms has been growing fresh Aussie produce since 1939. With a rich background in farming, Trandos has been proudly supplying ALDI with sweet corn for the past six years. Recently in a bid to improve their environmental impact, Trandos removed the plastic tray from their corn packs, reducing their use of plastic packaging by 80%.

How do you cook a corn on the cob
There are many delicious ways that you can cook your corn on the cob. The method you choose will depend on what cooking materials you have on hand, and how much time you’re willing to spend on cooking your corn on the cob. The most popular ways to cook corn on the cob are:
• Grilled on the barbeque
• Boiled in a pot over the stove
• Steamed over a pot or in the microwave
• Oven roasted in foil
Any way you decide to cook your corn on the cob, be sure to butter and season generously!
Can you eat corn raw?
Raw corn is a delicious addition to salads however, you can only consume corn raw if it’s sweet corn. Fortunately, the only corn we stock at ALDI is the sweet corn variety!
How to cook fresh corn in the microwave
Cooking your corn in the microwave is a quick and easy way to enjoy delicious, sweet corn. To cook your corn in the microwave, simply place it in the microwave with it’s husk on a heat for 4 minutes. Remove the corn with a tea towel (is it will be very hot!). That’s it! Enjoy your healthy microwave steamed corn.
Can you freeze corn on the cob?
Fresh corn on the cob can be frozen to store for future cooking. To freeze your corn cobs store your corn in an airtight container or zip lock bag. Your frozen cobs of corn will be great to have on hand for when you need an extra side of veggies in a pinch!
