Fresh Australian Tomatoes
In Aussie tomatoes we love and truss.
Whether you’re partial to a baby Bellino or believe that truss is must, you’ll love our home-grown Australian tomatoes. These sweet Aussie bites of gold are harvested across the South East for you to enjoy wherever and whenever you fancy.
Grown in your (big) backyard.
We only stock Aussie grown truss in our stores. They come from local farms all over Australia like Warragul in VIC’s South East Gippsland, Guyra in the NSW Northern Tablelands and Two Wells in SA. We charge low prices because we can.

Fun Tomato facts:
How to store tomatoes.
Store your tomatoes at room temperature where possible as they may lose their flavour if stored in the fridge.
How to choose the best tomato in store.
When picking a truss tomato, look for those that are round in shape with bright, red shiny skin. When trying to choose the best tomatoes, look for those that have firm, bright coloured skin and be sure that the crate that they’re cased in doesn’t have too much steam.
When are tomatoes in season in Australia?
State-of-the-art glasshouses allow farmers to grow these sweet sensations year-round. Lucky us!
Can you freeze tomatoes?
Tomatoes can be frozen from fresh, however, when defrosting frozen tomatoes, they will become mushy so it’s best to use your thawed tomatoes in sauces, soups and stews. It’s a good idea to freeze tomatoes no later than two weeks after they have ripened as this is when they will start to go off.
How do you blanch tomatoes?
Blanching tomatoes is a good way to make peeling the skins off easier for things like soups and sauces. To blanch tomatoes, put them all into a pot of boiling water for 60-90 seconds. Then, transfer the tomatoes into a bowl of ice water to allow them to quickly cool. Once they’re cooled, you should find that the skin easily strips away from the flesh of the tomato.
