Boiled Egg Sliders Recipe
How to make Boiled Egg Sliders
Method
- Hard boil the eggs (add eggs to cold water bring to boil and then boil for 8 minutes). Then plunge into cold water to cool them down.
- Gently peel the eggs once they reach room temperature. Cut in half lengthways and sprinkle the tops with toasted sesame seeds.
- For the tuna filling, mix the tuna and mayonnaise together. Place the tuna mixture on top of 2 of the egg bottoms. Add the cucumber and tomato slices, then top with the sesame-topped egg halves. Secure each ‘slider’ with a toothpick.
- For the ham filling, fold the ham slices in half, then half again to create a neat little bundle. Top the remaining egg bottoms with the ham, cheese, tomato and lettuce. Secure with toothpicks.
- Serve the ham and tuna ‘sliders’ straight away or pack into a lunchbox.
Tip: You can boil and refrigerate the eggs in their shells for up to 4 days ahead.
Optional: Experiment with other fillings, such as smoked salmon, chicken breast or turkey slices.
