How to make Chocolate Oatmeal
Method
- Combine the oats, milk, water and salt in a medium-sized saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Stir well, then cover and let cook, stirring occasionally until thickened – about 5-8 minutes.
- Meanwhile slice banana and pear thinly. Whisk coconut cream. Set aside.
- Add the cocoa powder, maple syrup and cinnamon to oats and stir though.
- Once cooked, assemble your bowl. Add chocolate oats. Top with coconut cream, sliced banana, pear slices, peanut butter (if using), nuts, cacao nibs and cacao powder.
Tip: You can also swap out the coconut cream with Greek yogurt; or replace almond milk with dairy or plant-based milk of your choice.
