How to Make Oats with Honey Roasted Plum Granola
Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C for fan forced ovens).
- Wash and cut the plums in half and remove the stones. Cut each half into 3 wedges and place in a small baking dish. Spoon the honey on top and stir to combine.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until soft, juicy and slightly tinged on the wedges. Set aside.
- Place the oats into a saucepan over a medium high heat and add the milk (or water). Bring to the boil, reduce the heat and simmer for one minute, stirring to prevent it from sticking.
- Spoon the oats into 4 bowls. Top with the roasted plums and drizzle with the juices. Sprinkle the granola on top and serve with fresh berries.
Optional: You can use water instead of milk for this recipe. You can swap out honey for maple syrup.
TIP: Plums can be roasted up to 3 days ahead and stored in the fridge.
