How to make Christmas Pine Cones

Method

1. Place biscuits in a food processor and blend until fine crumbs.

2. Pour into a bowl. Add icing sugar mix and toss well. Add cream and mix until mixture forms a dough. If dough is too moist, add a touch more icing mixture. Or if too dry, add a touch more cream. 

3. Divide into 4 portions. Shape each piece into an even cone shape. 

4. Place on a lined tray. Insert the choc cereal bits into the cream cone, pressing the cereal pieces into the mix, one at a time. Starting at the base, go around the cone and work your way up to the top, in a spiral pattern.

5. Dust over the top with sifted icing mixture, when about to serve. 

Tip: You can make the dessert a day ahead. Remove from fridge 15 minutes before serving. Dust with icing mixture immediately prior to serving. 

Optional: For an adult flavour, add a splash of O’Donnells Irish cream to the biscuit mix.
