Swiss Roll Christmas Trifle Recipe

How to make Swiss Roll Christmas Trifle

Method

  1. Make jelly to packet directions and allow to set for 2 hours, until it is semi-set.
  2. Slice the swiss roll into 8 slices and line the sides of trifle dish with them.
  3. Pour in the semi-set jelly. Add fresh raspberries and allow to set in the fridge for approximately 2 hours.
  4. Top with the custard layer over the top. Add back to fridge.
  5. Using a peeler, peel curls off the chocolate block. Set aside.
  6. Melt white chocolate and spread thickly over a piece of baking paper and allow to set. Cut into long triangles and set aside.
  7. Whip the cream. Remove the trifle from fridge when ready to serve.
  8. Pipe whipped cream onto custard layer.
  9. Decorate with the white chocolate curls and the silver baubles. Insert the white chocolate triangles, so they poke out of the top of the trifle. Serve immediately.

Tip: You can use strawberries or blueberries in place of raspberries.
