How to make Bacon and Brussels Sprouts Skewers

Method

  1. Wash sprouts. Trim the base and peel any harder outer layers away. Blanch the sprouts in some salted boiling water for 5 minutes.
  2. Drain and dry.
  3. Preheat the grill to high.
  4. Skewer 3 sprouts, interwoven with a rasher of bacon. Repeat with the others.
  5. Grill the skewers for 8 minutes, turning as they cook, until the bacon is crisp.
  6. Serve, drizzled with the maple syrup and grated cheese.
