How to make BBQ Ham and Pineapple Skewers
Method
- Cut the ham into cubes.
- Prepare pineapple by peeling and cutting into cubes.
- Soak the bamboo skewers in warm water, to help prevent sticking and burning.
- Load the skewers alternately with ham and pineapple, approximately 3 of each.
- Combine the ingredients for the marinade together until well combined.
- Pour the marinade over the skewers and allow to marinate for up to 24 hours.
- Preheat griddle pan or BBQ grill plate.
- Brush a little oil onto a preheated griddle pan, then cook the skewers – turning and basting frequently – for 5-6 minutes.
- Serve the skewers drizzled with a little BBQ sauce and with a salad or steamed vegetables.
