How to make BBQ Ham and Pineapple Skewers

Method

  1. Cut the ham into cubes.
  2. Prepare pineapple by peeling and cutting into cubes.
  3. Soak the bamboo skewers in warm water, to help prevent sticking and burning.
  4. Load the skewers alternately with ham and pineapple, approximately 3 of each.
  5. Combine the ingredients for the marinade together until well combined.
  6. Pour the marinade over the skewers and allow to marinate for up to 24 hours.
  7. Preheat griddle pan or BBQ grill plate.
  8. Brush a little oil onto a preheated griddle pan, then cook the skewers – turning and basting frequently – for 5-6 minutes.
  9. Serve the skewers drizzled with a little BBQ sauce and with a salad or steamed vegetables.
