Charcuterie Chalet Recipe
How to make a Charcuterie Chalet
Method
1. Cut an 18cm x 12cm rectangle of baking paper and place on a wooden serving board.
2. Cut the tasty cheese into ‘bricks’ measuring approximately 3cm x 2cm x 1cm. Reserve 200g of the cheese for cutting a door and chimney. Form the bricks into a ‘chalet’ using the baking paper rectangle as a guide. Secure the bricks by using cocktail sticks. Incorporate a window and door space into the building. Cut a door shape to match the door space. Attach using cream cheese. Cut small blocks to make a chimney. Attach the chimney to the roof using a cocktail stick.
3. Cut a piece of cardboard to the correct size to form a sloping roof. Fold the cardboard in half to make the roof sloped. Thickly spread one side of the cardboard with cream cheese and ‘tile’ with pepperoni salami.
4. Attach the roof to the chalet using cocktail sticks, wooden skewers and cream cheese.
5. Thinly slice the snack stix and use to make a ‘path’. Stick onto the board with cream cheese (if necessary).
6. Cut the goat’s cheese into 3 even pieces. Place on the cut side and insert a piece of fresh rosemary to form ‘trees’.
7. Crumble the fetta over the roof to look like ‘snow’. Garnish the board with sage leaves.
Note: Grate leftover cheddar and use for toasties, cheese melts, pizzas, etc.
