Dracula Blood Orange Slices Recipe
How to Make Dracula Blood Orange Slices
Method
- Preheat oven to 120°C (100°C fan-forced). Cut oranges into approximately 1cm wide slices.
- Place oranges on a rack, on a baking tray (if you place the oranges directly on the tray they will stick).
- Place oranges in the oven and leave for approximately 1 hour.* Check on them while cooking, especially when they start warming and drying. Turn regularly so they don’t stick.
- Once cooled, place in fridge for 10 minutes chill.
- Melt chocolate and dollop white chocolate in the centre of the slices, as the eyeball. Add a milk choc baking bit to the centre of each one.
- Place in fridge to set chocolate and serve.
*Tip: If you prefer, you can completely dry out your blood orange slices and use them for your Halloween decorations. Simply leave in the oven for 2-3 hours, turning regularly. Once cooled, add a ribbon and you can hang them as decorations.
