Community Support
ALDI connects and works with charity partners through a range of employee and customer-focused initiatives. Find out how we are driving positive change in our community.
Connecting our employees with our charity partners
ALDI employees share time to support our national charity partner Camp Quality, and our food rescue partners, Foodbank Australia and OzHarvest, through our employee fundraising events and team-building program.
At the heart of local communities
We know that we are only as strong as the communities in which we operate. We support our local communities by providing high-quality employment opportunities and long-term supplier relationships, while partnering with local charities and community groups.
Prioritising products made in Australia
Australian-made products are always our first choice when sourcing items for our stores. That’s not just because Aussie-made foods represent some of the highest-quality products in the world, but also because supporting our community is the right thing to do.
Since opening in 2001, we have built long-term relationships with over 1,000 Australian business partners in every state and territory, We only source from overseas when we can’t find the item, quality, efficiency or innovation we seek here in Australia. Look out for the Made in Australia logo in all ALDI stores. We also support the Buy West, East Best logo in our Western Australian stores, and the South Australian State Brand in our South Australian stores.
We have an interdependent relationship with our business partners—one cannot succeed without the other. We have many long-standing relationships with partners whose businesses have grown with ALDI over the last two decades. We recognise our ability to provide value to customers is directly related to supporting a strong and sustainable Australian food manufacturing and processing industry.
As we expand across Australia, we believe it’s important to give back to local communities that support us. Through our charity partnerships we are helping to create positive change in local communities. Keep reading below to find out more:
