Aloha Burger Recipe

How to make an Aloha Burger

Method

  1. Use ready-made burger patties or, if making burger patties yourself, add beef mince, minced garlic, Italian herbs, salt and pepper to a mixing bowl. Mix all burger ingredients until combined. Roll into 4 even balls. Then flatten each ball to desired thickness and let rest for 10 minutes.
  2. Make your sweet honey mustard sauce next. Mix together the dijon mustard, honey, aioli, paprika and pineapple juice until well combined and set aside.
  3. Lightly spray a griddle pan with oil and place on stovetop on medium heat. Place patties in pan and cook, turning occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from pan and cover with foil to keep warm. Add pineapple to pan and cook until lightly coloured. Remove from pan. Add onion rings and lightly fry for 2 minutes, then remove from pan.
  4. Separate the milk buns. Spread BBQ sauce and some sweet honey mustard sauce to both top and base of each bun. Then to the bases, add a lettuce leaf, burger patty, cheese, onion rings, 2 pineapple rings and top with final lettuce leaf. Spread burger sauce on top bun and place on burger.
