How to make a Plant Perfection Burger
Method
- For the bean patties, place the beans into a mixing bowl and mash with a potato masher until squishy. Stir in the flour, sesame seeds, paprika, garlic salt, diced onion and chopped parsley. Mix together well with a fork and then form into 2 patties.
- For the salsa, place the avocado, tomato, lime juice and 1 tablespoon of olive oil into a small bowl. Mix and season well.
- Place a frying pan over a medium heat. Add a small amount of olive oil and pan fry the patties for 5 minutes on each side or until warmed through and coloured.
- Cut the Turkish bread into 2 and halve each one lengthways. Lightly toast.
- Top the bases with the rocket. Add the bean patties and salsa. Drizzle with chilli and garlic sauce and serve.
Tip: To save time, the bean patties can be prepared up to a day ahead.
