How to make a Southern Charm Burger
Method
- Preheat oven to 200°C (180°C fan-forced) and cook the chicken burgers on a baking tray for 20 minutes, turning over after 10 minutes. Set aside to keep warm.
- Mix the mayonnaise and chilli and garlic sauce together. Add more or less of the sauce, depending on your spice preference.
- Place a frying pan over a high heat and toast the insides of the brioche buns.
- Meanwhile, sprinkle pineapple with sugar and grill on medium - high heat and set aside.
- Lay the bun bottoms onto a board and add a dollop of the chilli garlic mayonnaise. Add the shredded cabbage and top with the warm chicken burgers.
- Drizzle with the glaze, top with the brioche lids and serve.
Optional: You can substitute the shredded cabbage with a few handfuls of rocket or baby spinach leaves.
